World Renownwed for scuba, Dauin is a paradise for macro and muck diving species including frog fish, mimic octopus, flambouyant cuttlefish and pigmy sea horses. That said however, with glourious Apo Island a short boat ride away turltes and coral reefs are plentiful, making this a true wonder for travellers with a passion for the underwater realm. However if diving is not your thing then the nearby volcano offers many sights, hiking, trekking, biking, waterfalls, the list is endless and we can help guide you to find activities that suit your requirements.
Learn To Scuba Dive
Dauin is a hotspot for incredible macro life that is difficult to find in other places. Ths makes it the perfect place to begin your diving adventures and see some really cool stuff whilst learning.
Dauin Backpacker hostel is not attached to any single dive operation and therefore we are perfectly placed to advise you which school would suit your requirements better. If you are looking to do a scuba course or are already qualified and seeking some fun dives, then we can arrange your chosen activity for you.
Play In The Sea
Dauin Backpaker Hostel is situated a short walk from the beach and the entire Dauin Coastline is within easy reach. There are many resorts along the coast and some nice public beachs also.
Within a day trips distance is Apo Island, Siquior Island and Sumilon Island, all fantastic boat trips for snorkeling, whale shark watching, dolphin finding or any other sea based experience you can think off. So whether its relaxing in the sun with the sound of the waves lapping at your feet, exploring the coastine on a sea kayak, snorkeling, heading off on a day trip, or any other water based activity Dauin has to offer, we can assist you in finding the right operator to ensure your time here is enjoyed.
Explore the Volcano
Dauin Backpacker Hostel is situated at the foot of Mount Talinis, this volcano provides the region with a few natural wonders that simply must be explored during your stay here.
The area is full of volcano related natural wonders, including steam vents, hot springs, crater lakes and an abundance of waterfalls. Most are accesible on an easy day trip and we can help our guests to find the right way to enjoy them. For the real adventurous guidance can be given to help you explore these yoruself, or if preffer to let osmeone else run your day then organsied day trips can also be sorted.
Trek
Considering conquering Mt Talinis?
For those that wish to chalenge yourself, then hikes to the summit of Mt Talinis can also be arranged. It is a difficult trek in hot conditions and normaly involves an overnight camping stay, if you prefer there are numerous mountain biking trails to explore as well. Whatever your prefference, we can help plan the perfect adventure.

Built and operated by an English and Swedish couple who have both backpacked extensively throughout Southeast Asia; the beer gardens have been designed to be a fun, friendly, social place to meet people and enjoy good food. During our travels we have found some amazing dishes and we decided to bring some of our favourties toegther in one menu. The food and beer gardens at the lokal offer a live music venue that encourages guests to socialise, eat, relax, drink and party and we look forward to meeting you and joining you all at the bar for a drink, or several....
